I studied Textile Design at Hull School of Art and Design. After graduation I focused on felt making, particularly working with natural fibres, like wool and silk together with using various dying techniques. I like the flexibility and unpredictability of felt. My interest is exploring the art of Nuno felt. Nuno felt often incorporates several layers of loose fibres combined with lighter woven fabric such as sheer silk to build up colour, texture and design elements in the finished piece. It is magic watching how loose fluffy wool fibre and pieces of fabric transforms into a completely new identity just using water, soap and friction. I love the fact that each piece of individually created felt is unique and can never be replicated.

In the studio I am going to create artistic felted fashion pieces, scarves and accessories. Also I would like to try incorporate knitting and crochet into Nuno felt.
