Beginners Bobbin Lacemaking - 5 Week Course

Learn how to make bobbin lace over five interactive classes.

This course will introduce you to the basic techniques and equipment of English bobbin lacemaking, an endangered Heritage Craft.

You will build up your skills by making a series of small projects, learning and combining the basic techniques including whole stitch, half stitch, adding and removing pairs and more, and become familiar with the working tools and techniques.

The course will offer one-to-one direction, with students working at their own pace in a supportive, friendly and inclusive environment.

This course is aimed at those with no or little prior experience of lacemaking.

All equipment can be provided.

The course runs on the five Monday evenings in March 2026 - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th from 19.00-21.00 each evening.
