Intro to Stop Motion Animation
Are you interested in attending an upcoming animation workshop? -
Intro to stop-motion animation.
During the workshop you will learn the fundamentals of animation theory, planning, the setup, and how to start animating. Additionally you will receive an export of your saved work and extra resources after completing the workshop.
The workshop is aimed at those wanting an introduction to the craft and how to start animating. Although all experience levels are welcome, including beginners.
In the near future we will be organising intermediate and advanced workshops for people wanting to develop their animation skills.

Beginners Bookbinding Workshop
Join me at Juice Studios in Hull for an evening of making your very own cloth bound book.
During this 2 hour masterclass, you'll be shown a beginner friendly bookbinding technique to stitch up your book by hand.
Then you'll choose from a range of fabrics to cover your book, making it uniquely yours.
By the end of the workshop you'll have a finished A6 hardcover book to take home!

Whether you’re a fellow creative, or just curious about what happens behind our doors this is your chance to explore the private workspaces of Hull’s most exciting contemporary artists and makers.
What to Expect
See ‘work in progress’ and discover the tools, sketches, and messy bits that lead to finished masterpieces.
Chat directly with our resident illustrators, painters, printmakers, and designers about their practice.
Many of our artists will have original works, prints, and handmade goods available to purchase directly from their studio.

Beginners Bobbin Lacemaking - 5 Week Course
Learn how to make bobbin lace over five interactive classes.
This course will introduce you to the basic techniques and equipment of English bobbin lacemaking, an endangered Heritage Craft.
You will build up your skills by making a series of small projects, learning and combining the basic techniques including whole stitch, half stitch, adding and removing pairs and more, and become familiar with the working tools and techniques.
The course will offer one-to-one direction, with students working at their own pace in a supportive, friendly and inclusive environment.
This course is aimed at those with no or little prior experience of lacemaking.
All equipment can be provided.
The course runs on the five Monday evenings in March 2026 - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th from 19.00-21.00 each evening.

What happens?
Enjoy a relaxed evening weaving a bookmark using a simple frame loom.
Choosing from an array of sustainably sourced yarns you’ll make a piece unique to you.
You will learn basic weaving techniques from group demonstrations and one-to-one support in this small and friendly workshop.
This workshop takes place in person on Wednesday 10th December 2025, 7 - 8.30pm, at Juice Studios, Humber Street, Hull

A hot drink and a sweet treat are included!
Suitable for age 14+ (under 18s must be accompanied at all times by a paying adult participant).

Crochet Christmas Wreaths Workshop
Fa la la la, it's time for festive crochet!
Join artist Rachel Anderson at Juice Studios on Tuesday 9th December to crochet a lovely mini Christmas wreath, a perfect size for hanging on the tree, in the car, or from the fireplace.
In this workshop, everything you need will be provided and you'll be guided step by step into making your own crochet wreath.
This workshop is suitable for crochet beginners, with some previous experience of crochet.
Learn how to crochet around a 3D object in this fun festive workshop. You will create a mini wreath using crochet stitches with a scalloped edge. You'll then finish the wreath with chunky red merino wool to add a final flourish.

Christmas Tree Weaving with Woven By Eve
What happens?
Enjoy a creative afternoon weaving a festive Christmas tree wall hanging for your home using a simple frame loom.
Using an array of sustainably sourced yarns you’ll make a piece unique to you.
You will learn a range of basic weaving techniques from group demonstrations and one-to-one support in this small and friendly workshop.
This workshop takes place in person on Sunday 23rd November 2025, 1-4pm, at Juice Studios, Humber Street, Hull
All materials are provided. A hot drink and a sweet treat are included!
Suitable for age 14+ (under 18s must be accompanied at all times by a paying adult participant).
To access this workshop, participants should be able to tie a knot and use scissors.

Learn to Knit - 4 week course
Have you always wanted to learn the mystifying skill of knitting?
Always wanted to knit your own clothes but can't yet manage a scarf?
Simply don't understand the lingo?
Have no fear, I am here to be your knitting big sister (or grandma, which is probably more accurate)!
Across 4 hour long sessions, we'll master casting on and off, basic stitches (what's the difference between knit and purl??), how to read a pattern and even discover fun techniques like cables.
By the end, you'll have a fabulous start towards your very first completed knitting project.
